Milk Education is working with a primary school in Atherton (M46) seeking a full-time Reception Teaching Assistant to work 1-1 with a child who has Autism. This role is to start September 2025 and will be a temporary, long-term position.
The ideal candidate for this Reception Teaching Assistant role should be patient, nurturing, and accommodating to the child's learning needs. The working hours are 08:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break.
This role involves keeping the child on task, ensuring work is completed to a good standard, preparing resources for the day, and meeting the child's needs. You will provide a patient and nurturing learning environment.
Teaching Assistant - Role & Responsibilities:
* Promote inclusion and acceptance of all children
* Support children consistently, responding to their individual needs
* Assist the teacher with lesson planning, evaluation, and adjustments
* Deliver catch-up sessions
Teaching Assistant Level - Non-negotiables:
* Recent/relevant experience working with children and young people within the past two years
* A passion for education
* Good numeracy and literacy skills
* The ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
* Reliability and punctuality
