Associate Dean – Kent, Surrey & Sussex
We are looking to recruit 2 Associate Deans in Kent, Surrey & Sussex.
Each role is for 4 sessions (16 hrs) per week.
The role of the Associate Dean has evolved over recent years with changes in healthcare education and training, the quality framework, and workforce development. The Associate Dean supports the Postgraduate Dean in embracing corporate, statutory and non‑statutory functions, aligning with the NHSE mandate.
The role focuses firmly on improving patient and learner safety and experience and ensuring effective educational outcomes. The Associate Dean is professionally and managerially accountable to the Postgraduate Dean and their deputies.
Responsibilities
* Support the Postgraduate Dean in corporate, statutory and non‑statutory functions related to education.
* Align functions with the NHSE mandate and improve patient and learner safety and experience.
* Ensure effective educational outcomes and coordinate with other Associate Deans.
* Manage professional and managerial accountability to the Postgraduate Dean and deputies.
