West Berkshire Council is seeking a dedicated and motivated Domestic Assistant to join our Adult Social Care Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a well-established Council, providing essential domestic support to ensure the comfort and well-being of our service users.
Role And Responsibilities
As a Domestic Assistant, you will be responsible for:
Carrying out domestic duties such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation to maintain a hygienic and pleasant living environment for our service users.
Supporting the delivery of care by ensuring that domestic needs are met.
Working under the guidance of qualified professionals to contribute to the overall well-being of service users.
Maintaining accurate records of tasks completed and reporting any concerns to the appropriate team members.
Skills And Attributes
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
A positive and caring attitude towards supporting individuals with their domestic needs.
Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with service users and colleagues.
Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, to deliver high-quality care.
Basic understanding of health and safety regulations in a domestic setting.

You will also be entitled to a generous annual leave entitlement starting at 27 days per annum (plus public holidays) Rising by an additional 5 days after 5 years' service.
