Finance and Administration Manager Down GAA Charity Jobs NI (part of the Happy Jobs group) is delighted to be supporting Down GAA to recruit a highly organised, detail-focused, and proactive Finance and Administration Manager to lead the financial delivery of a landmark PEACEPLUS-funded project. Role: Finance and Administration Manager Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (with flexible and hybrid working options available). Location: 2B Sand Lane, Ballykinlar, Downpatrick, Co Down, BT30 8DL Salary: £35,235 per annum Contract Type: Fixed-term until April 2029 (potential to become permanent) Applications Close: Thursday 19th June 2025 at 12pm Interview Date: Scheduled for Wednesday 25th June 2025 About Down GAA: Down GAA oversees and manages Gaelic games across County Down, supporting over 25,000 members and 48 clubs. As a proud community organisation, Down GAA champions inclusion, tradition, and excellence in sports and local development. Their activities span youth and adult football, hurling, camogie, LGFA, and inclusive programmes such as wheelchair hurling and Gaelic for Mothers and Others. About the Role: This exciting role will play a key part in the successful delivery of the Centre of Participation, Wellbeing, and Shared Learning Hub (COPWSLH) in Ballykinlar. The postholder will provide financial leadership and administrative coordination for this iconic, multi-million-euro development, working closely with internal teams, delivery partners, and SEUPB. Key Responsibilities: Financial Management & Reporting: Develop, implement, and maintain financial systems, reports, claims, forecasts, and audits in line with SEUPB requirements. Manage quarterly claims submissions, prepare management accounts, use SEUPB platforms (such as JEMS), and support external financial verification. Procurement & Compliance: Ensure all procurement follows public sector rules and provide guidance to teams and partners. Administration & Oversight: Maintain efficient systems for monitoring, evaluation, payment processing, and partner liaison. Partner Coordination: Liaise closely with internal staff and external project partners to support collaborative delivery and financial governance. Track and report on partner organisation spending to ensure budget compliance. Training & Guidance: Provide training and ongoing guidance to staff and partners on SEUPB financial compliance and reporting standards. Risk & System Management: Monitor financial risk, support audits and evaluations, and identify and implement improvements to finance and IT systems that enhance reporting and efficiency. Qualifications & Experience: Essential: Third-level qualification in Finance, Accountancy, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Minimum two years' recent experience in at least two of the following: financial planning, auditing, management accounting, or systems development. Willingness to work irregular hours and travel as needed. Valid driving licence and access to a business-insured vehicle. Desirable: Experience with computerised accounting packages. Experience preparing financial/statistical reports for senior stakeholders. Membership of a recognised accountancy body (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA).
