Role overview:
To expand our UK and Ireland Infrastructure and Transportation markets, we are seeking a Market Director to lead our efforts. You will work closely with the Senior Market Director to oversee client and contractor portfolio expansion across sectors such as bridges, structures, ground engineering, civil/underground engineering, highways, marine, and rail.
Your key responsibilities include:
* Driving business development activities across the UK and Ireland to meet growth targets.
* Building and maintaining effective networks with clients and partners.
* Developing design and build opportunities with contractor partners.
* Establishing opportunities to increase project pipeline and success rates.
* Updating the UK Pipeline and implementing Go/No-Go decisions.
* Leading capture and bid processes for projects, collaborating with technical teams.
* Developing and executing bid-winning strategies and proposals.
* Managing key accounts and frameworks.
* Participating in COWI UK's market leadership team.
* Developing strategies and action plans for business growth.
* Identifying technical development areas and communicating them to management.
* Collaborating with UK business and COWI Group to share market insights.

Additionally, you will have:
* Experience as an engineer or chartered engineer within an engineering consultancy, contractor, or client organization.
* Proven business development experience in engineering sectors.
* History of developing and implementing growth strategies.
* A strong technical background in relevant sectors.
* An established network of industry contacts in the UK and Ireland.
* Understanding of legal, contractual, and financial issues in the sector.
* Strong relationship-building skills with clients and partners.
* Experience in developing major proposals and market initiatives.
