Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities Medicine for Older People (MOP) Our service sees older people in Southampton and South West Hampshire. We help people who have multiple conditions, functional impairment, and complex care needs. Our team includes medical specialists, nursing teams working in hospitals and in the community, therapists and social services. We provide care where it is needed, working closely with other local healthcare providers. We base our care on evidence based medicine and cutting edge research into ageing and care for older people, supported by our work with the University of Southampton Medicine The medicine care group is a friendly team with a highly supportive working environment and provides staff with excellent opportunities for professional development. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated team player with a strong interest in Acute Medicine. We are looking for Nurses who have an interest in respiratory, gastroenterology, hepatology, renal and general medicine. Emergency Care / ED The ED is a major trauma centre providing care to patients requiring a variety of services including major trauma, majors’ assessment and treatment area and minor injuries. The department also has an enhanced care suite dedicated to those patients experiencing a mental health crisis. The ED prides itself on delivering high quality patient centred care in a fast-paced environment. The ED is an exciting place to work, great teamwork and multi-disciplinary working ensures that all new starters are made to feel supported and welcome.
