About the New Store
We\'re thrilled to announce the launch of our new store in Leeds, our 22nd store across the UK and a major milestone in our continued growth journey. This is more than just a new location… it's a chance to help shape something special from day one. To set our new team up for success, all new starters will receive full training at a nearby Motorpoint store, working closely with the local team to build skills, confidence and a real sense of connection before opening day.
Role: Preparation Support Manager
We are looking for a Preparation Support Manager to supervise the workshop and yard team reporting directly into the General Sales Manager. As a Preparation Support Manager here at Motorpoint, you will help us to shake off all those outdated car industry clichés and help us drive into the fast lane towards becoming the most desired car retailer.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
* Supervise a team of Pre‑delivery Inspection Technicians and Vehicle Preparation Assistants to deliver high quality standards in the preparation of all vehicles ready for display and delivery to customers.
* Manage productivity and efficiency of the team, matching workload to resource.
* Coaching and developing the preparation teams, ensuring they have the resources to deliver results.
* Ensure work is allocated to individuals and productivity is maintained whilst maintaining quality.
* Work closely with the store management team to ensure a high level of customer service to all our customers.
* Maintain good administrative procedures and filing of relevant documents.
* Working closely with sub contractors on site and maintaining a good relationship and ensuring quality of work.
* Carry out all duties in line with the company\'s health and safety policies and procedures, and the safe to work instructions.
* Due to the nature of the role you will need a full, clean driving licence.
* A full UK driving licence is essential.
* A minimum Level 2 motor trade qualification.
* EV qualification is desirable – but we\'ll support you with training if needed.
* Experience in workshop control, quality control and managing logistics along with people management and leadership.
* Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* A team player who can also work independently.
* Motivation to meet performance goals and uphold quality standards.
* Organised and efficient in managing priorities.
* Commitment to safety and maintaining a tidy workspace.
* Willingness to support other sites when needed.
