Department overview The Financial Services team is responsible for the creation, development and operational management of both retail point of sale finance and wholesale funding across all regions. Job purpose To lead and manage the creation and operational development of AMFS products and processes within all retail finance markets, emerging markets and all interacting elements, providing funding facilities for Aston Martin, its dealers and its customers thereby assisting retails and wholesales within the network. This involves managing multi-level relationships with a number of external parties, as well as several internal relationships. Key duties and responsibilities Lead and drive the creation, development, implementation and monitoring of the global AMFS retail strategy. Lead the onboarding, development and training of new AMFS partners. P&L accountability and responsibility for Retail Finance Exhibit a growth mindset to lead and execute strategic aims and empower and develop key strategic partners and the Aston Martin retail network at all levels, providing a high level of operational service to win and retain customers Lead the cultural, behavioral and business changes vital to achieve our strategy and ensure effective implementation and optimization of change and new technologies Accountable and responsible for the delivery of financial and non-financials targets agreed in the operational plan Develop and maintain an external network and cultivate strong relationships across all partners. Accountable and responsible for the AMFS sales process within dealerships and the use of FS to improve dealer retail rates Work with AMFS partners to implement and improve AMFS services and products Accountable and responsible for the development and implementation of targeted marketing strategies, retail campaigns and deployment of variable marketing funds to create attractive purchasing propositions, promote Aston Martin vehicles and deliver key business metrics. Ensure robust financial services programs are implemented and fully utilized in eligible dealerships Create a centre of excellence for financial services market trends and consumer demand to optimize resale value for Aston Martin vehicles and ownership of the remarketing process, including pricing, appraisals, inspections, and negotiations. Accountable and responsible for the creation and ongoing development of key loyalty and retention strategies Support the used car strategy from an FS perspective to optimise used car performance Provide day to day operational management and oversight of AMFS partners to ensure first class outcomes Support the residual value setting process and be part of the RV risk committee Own, drive and improve performance across the global network, regional offices and partners Assist in product development projects for FS related products e.g. Insurance, and other ancillary products Ensure compliance with local and international regulations governing the sale of vehicles under Aston Martin Financial Services Lead the strategic messaging at all levels of the Aston Martin business, supporting and acting on behalf of the Head of Aston Martin Financial Services when required Work collaboratively with AML regional offices to ensure first class outcomes and fully supported global operations Experience and Qualifications Essential experience Knowledge and understanding of local and international financial services regulations, in particular US, UK, EU. Strong relationship management, influencing and negotiation skills, internally and externally, at multiple levels including senior and executive partners. Ability to form deep relationships with ease, naturally building trust and confidence. You’ll need solid understanding of how an OEM operates and knowledge of the international automotive financial services marketplace with an understanding of key retention initiatives. Understand the overall aims and strategy of the business and processes the ability to drive the change agenda across colleagues and external partners. Demonstrates innovative thinking to support the design and successful implementation of small and large change initiatives. A highly developed growth mindset is essential to advancing the customer, partner, colleague and business agenda Proven ability to shape and drive all elements of a P&L through the management and interrogation of margin and volume and other critical metrics, analysing all aspects of partner profitability to ensure best outcomes and important metrics assumptions are delivered. To balance the need of the customer with those of the business, delivering the right outcomes for both whilst being able to articulate your rational, judgement and decision-making. Broader knowledge of RV setting and pricing process to ensure effective collaboration with our partners. Overall interrogation and analysis of pricing approach and commercial decision making. Taking ownership to present and deliver results to customers and partners of Aston Martin Financial Services. Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related field 7 years experience in the sale and use of automotive financial services Experience of automotive retail environment is advantageous.
