Gas Engineer
Bristol - North Somerset
£37,300 per annum plus excellent benefits
My client who is an award-winning Housing Association is looking for an experienced Service and Repair Gas Engineer to join their team. The work will involve Services, Repairs, Maintenance, Breakdowns and Upgrades. The main office based on the outskirts of Bristol has over 6500 properties to look after and the workload you will be given will be as close to your postcode as possible. The role will come with a fully equipped van, tablet and there is an immediate start.
The role:-
Carrying out annual gas services / repairs.*
Accurate completion of Gassafe. certificates and other documentation including reporting of defects.*
Ensuring all works carried out in line with gas regulations and in compliance with relevant H&S legislation, policy and safe working practices.*
Ensuring any appointments for works are made and kept.
Providing a ‘right first time’ repair where applicable.
Able to work alone or as part of a team and using own initiative.
Available as part of a standby rota covering out of hours gas/ plumbing emergency repairs.*
Work in occupied properties and liaise with tenants during the course of the works undertaken.
Responsible for allocated vehicle and recording use of ‘imprest’ vehicle stock, plant and tools.
To use and be responsible for allocated mobile devices.
To attend and fully participate in training, 1-2-1’s, toolbox talks and appraisals.
To undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required.
What you will need:-
Clean and full driving licence.*
Current CCN1/CPA1/CKR1/HTR1/WAT1/CEN gas qualifications.*
Proven experience of working within H&S legislation.*
Relevant City & Guilds or NVQ.*
Evidence of continuing professional development.
Experience of working in a customer focused environment.
Evidence of continuing professional development.
Strong verbal, written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
High level IT literacy and keen adopter of digital technology and flexible working methods.
You will require a full driving licence and a DBS check will also need to be done.
