Are you passionate about making a difference in people’s lives? We’re recruiting for a Housing Officer on behalf of a leading social housing provider delivering supported living services for vulnerable adults aged 18 and over. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong tenancy management experience and a genuinemitment to delivering high-quality housing services in a supported living environment.
You’ll manage a portfolio of properties, ensuring tenants receive the support they need to sustain their tenancies. Your role will involve a mix of tenancy management,pliance checks, and partnership working with care providers and external agencies.
Your new role
1. Manage all aspects of tenancy and housing services, including voids, lettings, arrears, and tenancy breaches.
2. Proactively chase rent arrears and provide tenancy sustainment support.
3. Carry out regular health & safety inspections and ensurepliance checks (gas, legionella, etc.) arepleted.
4. Report and coordinate repairs, liaising with contractors for access andpletion.
5. Record and respond to safeguarding concerns appropriately.
6. Attend multi-agency meetings to support tenants effectively.
What you'll need to succeed
7. Proven experience in tenancy management and knowledge of housing law and welfare benefits.
8. Experience supporting vulnerable individuals, including those with mental health challenges or addiction.
9. Full UK driving licence, own vehicle, and business insurance.
10. Enhanced DBS (preferably on the update service).
