YOUR ROLE:
The Accounts Administrator will play a crucial role in supporting the finance team, initially managing a broad range of administrative tasks and progressively taking on more detailed accounting responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail:oriented, and proactive in resolving discrepancies. This position offers an excellent opportunity to enhance skills in accounting and administration within a dynamic and evolving business environment.
* Responsibilities
Accounts Administration:

* Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and reconciliations.
* Process and maintain accurate accounts payable and receivable records.
* Assist in maintaining general ledgers, journals, and other financial documents.
* Support month:end and year:end closing processes.
* Ensure timely and accurate invoicing, processing of payments, and receipt tracking.
* Manage petty cash and ensure proper record:keeping of disbursements.
* Assist in preparation of VAT returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations.
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR:
* Working towards AAT qualification or equivalent ((preferred but not required).
* Experience with accounting software, (Sage 200 preferred) and Micosoft Office Suite
* Basic knowledge of accounting principles
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to prioritise and and manage time
* Strong communication skills for liaising with teams and suppliers.
* A proactive problem:solver who thrives in a fast:paced environment.
* Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.or issues efficiently.
