An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Single Point of Access Team (SPA), based at Falcon House at St James' Hospital, Portsmouth on a full-time basis.

We are currently seeking to recruit a motivated, enthusiastic and organised clinical team lead who is keen on both working with children/young people with mental health needs and their families as well as co-ordinating the team of clinicians who make up our Single Point of Access team.

We are a QNCC excellent Accredited CAMHS service who are looking for a dedicated professional that shares our Trust's values and is committed to leading and working collaboratively as part of our Multi-Disciplinary Team delivering a high standard of patient-centred care.

We are a forward-thinking service, working hard to deliver clinical care pathways, using evidence-based practice in order to ensure a young person's journey through our service is accessible, timely and effective. We promote integrated working with education, social care, CPMS, inpatient care and various other outside agencies to achieve better outcomes and transitions for children, young people and their families. You will be required to work independently. You will adhere to professional guidelines and the code of conduct for your registered profession and in conjunction with safeguarding and Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare Foundation NHS Trust policies as well as procedures.

One of our key priorities is finding the right type of person who shares our values of patients first, working together and always improving; someone with the ability and attitude to grow and develop in the Trust as a valued member of our team. We would be interested to hear from Allied Health Care Professionals, Creative Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Mental Health Nurses, Systemic Practitioners, Social Workers or those already working in mental health. Experience of leadership would be desirable.

Key tasks include:

*Supporting the clinical delivery of the front door of our CAMHs service

*Line management and supervision of staff within the SPA

*Delivery and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPI's) with oversight from the CAMHs team manager

*Leading and facilitating complex discussion in multi-disciplinary meetings

*Oversight of clinical decision making within the SPA

*Undertaking complex assessments of children and young people's mental health needs.

*Undertaking comprehensive risk assessments and engaging young people and their family in safety planning.

*Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to offer advice and consultation to professional partners such as GP's, schools and social care.

*Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to offer clinical advice and consultation to children young people and their families.

*Overseeing and being part of the duty rota for the service.

Person specificationQualificationsEssential

Registered nurse, social worker or equivalent

ExperienceEssential

Demonstrable success at managing change, service development and continuous improvement

Proven ability in making a significant contribution to the achievement of organisational objectives and key performance indicators

Proven ability to work flexibility and to tight deadlines

Experience of working in an autonomous role in designing the packages of care for young people presenting with sudden onset chronic and long-standing physical and mental health concerns

Experience of working with a wide variety of children, adolescents and their families/carers across the whole range and presenting problems that reflect the full range of clinical severity.

Have experience of managing staff within a clinical environment.

Experienced in assessing and developing patient care plans

Experienced in developing and delivering care and a range of therapeutic interventions to patients.

Experience of early developmental trauma, mental health assessments and implementation of care and treatment plans.

Experience of teaching, training and supervision/assessing junior staff and students

Evidence of recent CPD

Evidence of developing policy, guidelines contributing to management of resources
