Job Description
Location: Soil Machine Dynamics, Davy Bank, Wallsend, Tyne and Wear, NE28 6UZ
This role will provide support to the QHSE Manager to ensure our products meet our customer's Quality expectations and that the product is built in a safe and controlled manner.
This role will also manage the day to day QHSE activities assigned to them to ensure they meet the Business objectives and targets.
A large part of the role will be to ensure compliance with the SMD quality and H&S policies and support the QHSE manager in ensuring successful audits for ISO45001, ISO9001 and ISO14001.
Managing and reporting of NCR’s and conducting Quality investigations are crucial as well as conducting internal audits.
The QHSE team are responsible to providing sound advice and guidance to the business as well as improvement recommendations.
What skills and qualifications do I need?
This person should have a technical qualification in Engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience. The ability to interpret technical drawings is essential to the success of this role as well as a good knowledge of quality systems and procedures. You will be qualified to NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.
This role will be required to work over multiple sites so there may be driving required, and therefore a valid driving licence is required.
In terms of interpersonal skills, we’re looking for someone with good experience in problem solving using various techniques. This is a team role so you must be able to work as part of a team but also be able to use your own initiative. It is a busy and varied role so someone that can prioritise tasks and show good time management skills is a must.
There is also a possibility of travel (UK and abroad) so someone that is flexible is essential.
