Job Title: Roadworker / Highways Operative Location: Newcastle upon Tyne and surrounding areas About the Role: We are seeking reliable and hardworking Roadworkers to join our growing team in the Newcastle area. You will be involved in the construction, maintenance, and repair of roads, footpaths, and highways infrastructure, helping to keep the region moving safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Carry out roadworks including surfacing, pothole repairs, and drainage Operate tools and machinery such as rollers, breakers, and compactors Set up and manage traffic management systems and signage Follow health & safety regulations at all times Work as part of a team on various sites across the region Perform manual labour in all weather conditions Requirements: Previous experience in roadworks, construction, or a similar role preferred Valid CSCS card (essential) Full UK driving licence (essential) Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional nights and weekends Strong work ethic and team player attitude What We Offer: PPE and equipment provided Stable, long-term work with a reputable company
