Working in a small and busy finance team, this is a brilliant opportunity for a hands-on, deadline-driven accountant who enjoys partnering with stakeholders and turning numbers into meaningful insight.
Youll be joining a values-led organisation where finance plays a key role in supporting stakeholders, staff and wider outcomes.
The role is available due to short-term cover / additional support needs within the team.
What the Management Accountant job involves As the Temporary Management Accountant, youll focus on core management reporting and support across budgeting and forecasting.
Producing monthly management accounts (accruals, prepayments, journals, variance analysis) Supporting budget setting, reforecasting and reporting against budget Building strong relationships with budget holdersexplaining performance clearly and constructively Maintaining and improving reporting packs, reconciliations and finance processes Assisting with audit preparation and responding to reporting requirements (including funding-related reporting where applicable) Skills required Were keen to speak with candidates who can hit the ground running and bring a calm, solutions-focused approach.
Proven management accounts experience (temporary/contract experience welcomed) AAT qualified and/or part-qualified / qualified (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) or equivalent experience Strong Excel skills and confidence working with finance systems Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment Confident communication skillsable to work collaboratively with non-finance stakeholders Other Information Temporary for 2-3 months Typically MondayFriday (full-time preferred; part-time may be considered for the right person) Car Parking is available This vacancy is being advertised through KD Recruitment Limited who are operating as an Employment Agency.
