Description
What You Will Do:
1. Develop, document, and review test plans for high-energy cargo inspection systems and subsystems.
2. Responsible for performing system testing in compliance with applicable test plans while maintaining radiation safety.
3. Aid in setup, integration, commissioning, and troubleshooting of hardware/software required for testing.
4. Collaborate with R&D, hardware, software, and regulatory teams to troubleshoot and improve system performance.
5. Document, organize, and present system test results.
6. Support root cause analysis and corrective actions to support product improvement.
7. Assist in verification and validation (V&V) activities as part of New Product Introduction (NPI) and Product Lifecycle Management.
Basic Qualifications:
8. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, or a related technical field.
9. 2-5 years of experience in system-level testing.
10. Ability to use computers and software applications to assist in job execution
11. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
12. Strong documentation and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
13. Experience working with mechanical systems, electrical systems, and software.
14. Radiation safety training or certification (e.g. RSO or equivalent)
15. Familiarity with imaging performance standards (e.g. ANSI N42.46).
16. Experience safely working in fast-paced environments around heavy machinery (e.g. forklifts, gantry cranes, etc.).
17. Ability to travel. Occasional travel may be required for field testing and customer support.
