This role can be fully remote for the right candidate or a hybrid arrangement based in Jennymount Belfast. Purpose:
* Assist in establishing, monitoring, and maintaining adequate internal systems and controls to ensure the Group meets regulatory requirements.
* Develop and maintain an internal risk management framework to monitor, mitigate, and report on risks within the Group.
* Stay informed about and report on regulatory developments that impact the Group.
* Act as a point of contact for the business, providing guidance and advice on regulatory matters.
* Produce regular management information for Senior Management on regulatory matters.
Main Duties:
* Gain and maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of regulations affecting the Prestige Group, including GDPR.
* Assist in setting up appropriate internal systems and controls to ensure regulatory compliance.
* Develop and maintain an internal risk management framework to monitor, mitigate, and report on risks within the Group.
* Monitor and respond to documents published by regulatory bodies, such as the FCA and Central Bank of Ireland.
* Provide information and guidance to employees regarding regulatory developments and their impact on Group activities.
* Act as the Data Protection Officer for the Group, fulfilling responsibilities under GDPR.
* Conduct regular internal audits, report on findings, and provide feedback to relevant departments.
* Coordinate external audits, implement audit findings, and provide feedback to relevant departments.
* Assist in setting up, approving, maintaining, and monitoring the Group's agencies with insurers, brokers, and suppliers.
* Represent the Group in a professional and compliant manner during interactions with stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
* Maintain and update the Group Compliance Department's Intranet Site and Shared Network Folder.
* Update the Group's Compliance Manual, Policies, and Procedures as necessary.
* Support the implementation of the company's Compliance Plan outlined in the Compliance Monitoring Schedule.
* Prepare monthly management information and ad hoc reports on compliance for Senior Management.
* Comply with all Company policies and procedures, including Health and Safety guidelines.
* Fulfil any other functions necessary for the effective operation of the Group Compliance Department.
* Undertake internal and/or external training as required by the Company.
* Complete assigned tasks, projects, and research assignments to a high standard within strict deadlines.
* Conduct research projects, provide findings, and make recommendations to management.
General Duties:
* Comply with all the Group's policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.
* Perform any other functions necessary for the effective operation of the Group.
