Landscape Management Consultants – Stephenson Halliday
Full‑time, permanent roles (part‑time considered). The role is available at Stephenson Halliday / RSK Group offices in Hemel Hempstead, London, Tonbridge, Bristol, Bath, Exeter, with hybrid/remote options for the right candidates.
We are looking for candidates with experience in ensuring that a variety of landscapes can be effectively managed and maintained over time. Applicants should be able to assess characteristics, history and potential of landscapes, prepare management plans and strategies (including biodiversity net gain), advise on designs and plans for developments and provide management‑based solutions to site issues.
Key Responsibilities
* Conducting and coordinating open space/green infrastructure strategies, site assessments and audits.
* Advising on management and maintenance considerations in respect of designs and proposals.
* Preparing and implementing landscape and ecological management plans (Biodiversity Net Gain requirements).
* Preparing and implementing invasive species management plans.
* Preparing and implementing historic landscapes/estate management plans.
* Advising on compliance with relevant policy, legislation, good practice and relevant standards.
Principal Responsibilities (for Leadership roles)
* Take the professional lead in landscape management, guiding and mentoring staff through their professional development.
* Drive growth across the portfolio, nurture client relationships, manage resources and ensure top‑tier delivery across Stephenson Halliday and the broader RSK Group.
* Provide technical leadership within your specialty and promote excellence and rigorous review.
Person Specification
* Experience in landscape management consultancy and/or onsite implementation/landscape clerk of works across a range of projects such as open space, parks & gardens, historic landscapes & estates, and infrastructure (mineral, property, renewable energy, transport).
* Excellent report‑writing skills.
* Valid driving licence.
* Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI) – preferred.
* Post‑graduate or Masters in a landscape related course – preferred.
* Availability to work away from home as required.
Salary and Benefits
* £27,000 – £55,000 DOE
