The Role and Responsibilities
As our new Car Technician and Mechanic, you will handle everything from routine maintenance to complex fault-finding. Your duties will include:
* Diagnostics: Accurate fault-finding across all vehicle systems.
* Major Repairs: Timing belts, timing chains, wet belts, and clutches.
* Chassis and Safety: Brakes, suspension repairs, and upgrades.
* Routine Maintenance: Servicing and general repairs for all makes and models.
* Transmission: Handling gearbox and transmission repairs.
What We Are Looking For
* Qualifications: Level 3 NVQ or equivalent is required.
* Technical Skill: Strong mechanical repair and diagnostic competence.
* Brand Knowledge: Experience with German or JLR vehicles is highly valued.
* MOT License: An MOT Tester license is not essential but is highly desirable.
* Essentials: Full UK Driving Licence and a proven track record in a workshop environment.
