Job Description
Altum Consulting are working with a leading media business to recruit an RTR Accountant based in Salford, Manchester. This role will be hybrid, with 3 days working in the office.
RTR Accountant role:
* Deliver accurate balance sheet reconciliations and ensure integrity of financial reporting
* Prepare monthly revenue and cost of sales reconciliations, including related postings
* Reconcile stock and investigate aged/unreconciled balances
* Utilise reconciliation tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy
* Perform daily, monthly, and year-end accounting activities
* Support internal and external audit requirements
* Participate in UAT testing for system enhancements and SaaS updates
* Collaborate with Finance Operations and RTR teams to resolve discrepancies
* Maintain and update process documentation and standard operating procedures
* Meet service delivery targets and support continuous improvement initiatives
* Contribute to automation and finance transformation efforts
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
* Manage priorities effectively and take ownership of personal development
As an RTR Accountant you'll be/have:
* Qualified or Part-Qualified and actively studying for an accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA etc.)
* Experience in an RTR department, working in a similar role
* Experience with process automation & system improvements
* Proficient with reconciliation systems and ERP systems
* Detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills
* A proactive, solutions-focused approach
