Are you a passionate and inspiring English Teacher ready to nurture a love of language and literature in young minds? A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Wolverton, Milton Keynes, rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, is looking for a dedicated English Teacher to join their team as soon as possible.
Your Role
* Deliver engaging and well-structured English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential opportunities to teach KS5).
* Foster critical thinking, creativity, and a love for reading and writing.
* Contribute to the planning and development of an innovative and inclusive English curriculum.
* Use assessment effectively to track progress and support student achievement.
* Create a supportive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages all students to thrive.
* Support extracurricular activities such as reading clubs, creative writing workshops, and school productions.
* Collaborate with colleagues to drive progress and share best practice across the department.
What We’re Looking For
* UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or working towards it.
* A degree in English Language, English Literature, or a related subject.
* Excellent subject knowledge and a confident classroom presence.
* Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities and backgrounds.
* Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* A commitment to professional development and reflective teaching practice.
