Risk Advisory is a well-established department in the UK & Ireland region of Energy Systems, responsible for delivering advisory and safety management services to ensure safe operations. Our team provides high-quality services in risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and decision support across the energy value chain, including O&G, hydrogen, CCUS, and renewables.
Our goal is to grow our business by offering value-added services that give our clients a competitive edge. We aim to enhance our customer-centric approach and improve our work processes.
Reporting to the Head of Department, the Head of Section will lead a team of approximately 35 specialists covering offshore structures, pipelines, onshore plants, and renewables. The role involves providing leadership, coaching, staff development, and ensuring optimal resource utilization to meet operational goals.
Key responsibilities:
* Technical Delivery: Ensure systems and processes deliver high-quality work on time; foster a culture of excellence in technical and project management; identify needs for service development and innovation.
* People Development: Support and develop team leads and specialists; mentor and train staff; promote a positive, inclusive culture aligned with PVV; drive recruitment, retention, and succession planning.
* Commercial/Strategic: Collaborate on departmental planning; support financial performance; ensure service delivery meets standards and customer expectations; promote cross-department collaboration; oversee HSSEQ standards.
