Payroll & Recruitment/HR Administrator
Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm
Salary £27,000 per annum
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Payroll & Recruitment/HR Administrator to join the Gardener Schools Group. This is an exciting opportunity to join an outstanding and thriving school based over five sites in the West London Area. 2 Senior, 2 Preparatory Schools and 1 Nursery.

Recruitment/ Administration: To assist with all aspects of the work of the HR function including, but not limited to:
* Collate HR Files and support the recruitment process through administration and drafting of conditional offer letter and contracts of employment.
* To assist with all aspects of Safer Recruitment, including carrying out DBS checks, chasing up onboarding documentation, and following up on reference requests.
* Maintain staff records on the School's management information system (iSAMS); adhering to GDPR principals at all times.
* Organise and maintain filing systems and ensure filing and archiving are completed in a timely manner, including responsibility for the archiving and monitoring of all leaver files for the Group
* To deal with inquiries promptly and efficiently.
* Assist in induction processes as directed by HR Advisor;
* Taking notes at disciplinary, grievance, and other similar meetings and hearings as required.
* Maintain sickness absence records for all staff – receive self-certificates and fit notes, update the School's management information system (iSAMS), payroll, and file in staff HR file;
* To carry out administrative and support duties for other support teams across the Group as directed by the HR Advisor.
* Carrying out additional duties as required by the Director of Operations, commensurate with the post.
Payroll Administration: To assist with all aspects of the work of the Payroll function including, but not limited to:
* Provide payroll administration to ensure timely and efficient processing of the payroll.
* Working with the finance team to ensure seamless payroll submissions and payments.
* Uploading pension data to the portal, check and process.
* Collating P45s for new starters and submitting to payroll.
* Ensuring timesheets are approved by managers.
* Ensures that payroll transactions are completed in accordance with the given deadlines.
* Provide ad-hoc reports from the payroll and HR system when required
General
* These above-mentioned duties are neither exclusive nor exhaustive and the post-holder may be required to carry out other duties as required by the School.
* Always to perform duties in all elements of the role in a professional manner and with integrity, mindful of confidentiality as appropriate.
* To comply with all provisions of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, any other relevant legislation within the Group and to take care for their own and other people's health and safety.
* To participate in Performance Management annually, in line with school policy.
