About the Role
You will play an active role in supporting young people (aged 9 - 16 years of age) and their families in the community to overcome barriers which may be impacting on young people’s health, social, emotional and educational needs to improve outcomes whilst remaining in their family setting. You will also support young people staying in our short breaks residential home to provide day to day care whilst they transition back to their family home or onto a more permanent residential placement.
Alongside our trainee entry pathway, you will receive additional training to equip you with all the tools you will need to work within the AMBIT service. AMBIT (Adolescent Mentalisation-Based Integrative Treatment) is a systemic approach to meet the needs of working with children, young people and their families. The approach applies the principle of mentalisation to relationships with clients, the team around the child and inter agency working
Applicants should have
1. resilience to cope with challenging behaviour and circumstances.

4. empathy but also ablility to understand the importance of professional boundaries.
5. flexibility to undertake shift work including weekends and bank holidays
6. Ability and willingness to commute to different locations within the Isle of Man.
7. Hold a valid driving licence

8. £27,693 rising to £28,524 upon completion of probation & rising incrementally to £32,105 based on performance
