Overview
We are very excited to be able to advertise for a senior child and adolescent psychotherapist to join our busy and dynamic outpatient CAMHS team in Redbridge on a permanent basis. We have an enthusiastic and established therapy team, and we are looking for a child and adolescent psychotherapist who is knowledgeable and passionate about young people’s mental health and wellbeing to join us in the delivery of high quality and effective CAMHS interventions.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver psychodynamic and psychotherapeutic interventions to meet the mental health needs of our diverse population of children and young people.
* Embed the principles of the iThrive model and ensure a range of therapeutic approaches are accessible to families.
* Attend regular twice‑monthly Child Psychotherapy meetings across London and Essex CAMHS services within NELFT.
* Support personal and professional development, including discussing CPD opportunities.
* Act as an effective team member, supporting peers and team lead, liaising with other professionals and agencies to embed a trauma‑and‑culturally‑informed model of practice within the service.
* Receive regular clinical supervision from the lead psychologist and attend and participate in MDT team meetings.
* Contribute to service development and manage a clinical caseload.
Qualifications and Experience
* Post‑graduate qualified child and adolescent psychotherapist registered with an appropriate professional or regulatory body.
* Minimum 2 years of experience delivering psychotherapy in a CAMHS setting.
* Full member of the Association of Child Psychotherapists to fulfil supervisory duties.
* Interest in service development and experience managing a clinical caseload.
Working Arrangements
* Flexible working requests considered (working from home, compressed hours, reduced hours).
* Probationary period applies; internal applicants exempt unless currently in probation or a bank member.
* High‑Cost Area Supplement of 15 % of the basic salary (pro‑rated for part‑time).
