We’re hiring a reliable Class 1 Driver to join our busy Ilkeston team right away. You’ll be making palletised deliveries across the UK with minimal manual handling. Most days involve one drop and one pickup, but some routes mean overnight stays around 3 to 4 times a week, paid at £30 per night.
Shifts usually start near 7:30 AM and last 8 to 10 hours, with a guaranteed 8 hours’ pay. If you don’t have a forklift licence, no worries — we’ll train you, and you might occasionally unload your vehicle after training.
To be considered, you’ll need a minimum of 3 years’ Class 1 driving experience, a valid Class 1 licence, Digital Tachograph Card, and UK CPC. Forklift licences are a bonus but not essential.
Pay rates are £18.15 per hour through our Umbrella provider or £15 per hour via PAYE, which includes 28 days paid holiday, making the effective rate £16.81 per hour. Please note, visa sponsorship isn’t available.

Hourly Rate: The pay rate is £18.15 per hour when paid through our Umbrella provider. Alternatively, you can choose to be paid via PAYE at £15.00 per hour, with the added benefit of full pay for 28 days of annual leave, which brings the effective hourly rate to £16.81 including holiday pay. Night out allowances are paid at £30 per night. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Working Hours: This is a Monday to Friday position with start times varying by route, though you’ll typically begin around 7:30 AM. Shifts last between 8 and 10 hours, with a guaranteed minimum of 8 hours pay. Please be aware that you may be required to stay overnight about 3 to 4 times per week.

Experience & Qualifications
To be suitable for this role, you must have at least three years of Class 1 driving experience, along with a valid Class 1 (HGV) Driving Licence, a current Digital Tachograph Card, and a UK CPC qualification. While a forklift licence is preferred, it is not essential, as full forklift training will be provided if needed.
