The Conservation Volunteers connects people and green spaces to deliver lasting outcomes for both.
About the role
Working in partnership with Glasgow City Council, the SPO will primarily be responsible for building capacity and supporting local organisations and groups to take action for nature. There will also be some responsibility for delivering a regular volunteering group to improve the biodiversity in Local Nature Reserves, aspirational Local Nature Reserves and other greenspaces.

There will also be an emphasis on projects that improve health and wellbeing through engagement with nature.
The role requires a good general standard of education, typically including National 5s in English and Maths or equivalent experience, alongside additional qualifications or training in project delivery. Candidates should have proven experience in planning, coordinating, and delivering practical projects or services, ideally within conservation, health, or wellbeing, and in working with volunteers to achieve project objectives. The post-holder will be an effective communicator and relationship-builder, engaging with stakeholders to advance project and organisational goals, proactively supporting income generation, and producing progress reports using relevant IT systems. A genuine interest in The Conservation Volunteers’ (TCV) mission and objectives is vital.
