Marketing Manager – Maternity Cover Location: Whitby, North Yorkshire (with hybrid flexibility) Contract: 6-month fixed term (with potential to extend) Salary: Circa £25,000 – £30,000, depending on experience Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week Are you a creative marketer with a flair for storytelling and a passion for building brands? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Marketing Manager (Maternity Cover) to join a well-established and values-driven FMCG business based in Whitby. This is a hands-on role supporting brand growth across multiple channels, delivering engaging campaigns and marketing assets that resonate with both consumers and customers. The Role: Reporting into the Category Development Manager and Sales & Marketing Director, you'll play a key role in delivering the company’s marketing agenda, with responsibility for: Developing and executing brand plans aligned with the overall business strategy Managing external agencies on the creation of brochures, packaging, presentations, and trade marketing materials Leading internal communication efforts, including newsletters and intranet updates Overseeing the relationship with the social media agency and contributing to content planning and development Conducting ad hoc research and product benchmarking Briefing and attending product photography sessions Ensuring brand alignment across Sales, NPD, and Operations Supporting innovation projects and cross-functional initiatives Coordinating internal product rollouts and launches About You: We’re looking for someone who is: An excellent copywriter with a sharp eye for design and messaging Creative, curious, and proactive – always looking for fresh ways to engage audiences Organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects A strong communicator who collaborates well with internal teams and external partners Ideally experienced within FMCG or a consumer-focused business Skilled in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint in particular is a plus) What’s on Offer: Salary circa £25,000 – £30,000 depending on experience Full-time, 40 hours per week Flexibility to work from home one day per week once settled in Occasional UK travel to suppliers and customers Paid holiday, sick leave, and additional company benefits Opportunity to shape marketing in a respected FMCG business Potential to extend or move into a part-time role after the maternity cover ends If you’re looking to take ownership of exciting marketing projects in a fast-paced FMCG environment – we’d love to hear from you.
