Thorpe‑Le‑Soken Surgery is seeking an experienced advanced nurse practitioner or experienced emergency care practitioner (ECP)/paramedic to work 20‑30 hours a week, rotating between Thorpe Surgery and our Kirby Cross branch. The role combines autonomous clinical decision‑making with direct patient care in a dynamic primary care environment.
Responsibilities
* Act as duty clinician, triaging and managing urgent patient presentations
* Assess, diagnose and treat patients presenting with acute and minor illness
* Provide high‑quality, patient‑centred care in face‑to‑face clinics
* Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team
* Prescribe medications (if qualified) and manage care plans appropriately
* Accurately triage and prioritise patients, including in emergency situations and telephone triage, demonstrating the use of a variety of techniques to elicit the history of an event/illness, including past medical and drug history
* Experience in urgent or primary care settings
* Strong clinical assessment and decision‑making skills
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
* Qualified ANP, ECP, paramedic practitioner, or equivalent
* Registered with relevant professional body (HCPC or NMC)
