About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our nursery in Plaistow, London. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated professional with a strong background in early years education, staff supervision, and nursery management. Vacancy - Manager

* Position Type: Full-time, permanent position
* Salary: Competitive/Negotiable (based on experience and qualifications)
* Location: Plaistow, London
* Qualification: Level 3 Childcare
* Experience: Minimum 3 years management experience (required)
* Shift patterns: 8 - 6pm


Key Responsibilities

* Oversee the day-to-day management of the nursery, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment.
* Lead, support, and supervise staff to deliver high-quality early years education and care.
* Ensure full compliance with all statutory regulations and guidance, including the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
* Develop and implement effective policies and procedures aligned with current legislation and best practices.
* Monitor and evaluate the quality of provision and take appropriate action to address any areas for improvement.
* Plan, implement, and review purposeful and age-appropriate activities that support children’s development.
* Maintain accurate records for children, staff, and operational procedures.
* Build strong, positive relationships with parents, carers, and the wider community.


Qualifications

* Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (e.g. NVQ, NNEB, or equivalent).


Knowledge & Skills

* Excellent understanding and practical experience of the EYFS framework.
* In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements for early years settings.
* Ability to develop, implement, and review policies and procedures in line with best practice and inspection requirements.
* Strong planning skills to ensure purposeful, child-centred activities.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with staff, parents, and external agencies.
* Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently.
* Competent IT skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
* Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
