Maintenance Electrician
We are seeking a reliable and qualified Maintenance Electrician for a contract based in Fareham. This role is essential for ensuring the ongoing operational efficiency and safety of a high‑profile government site.
Role Overview
Pay Rate: £24 an hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract start: 23rd February 2026
Shift Patterns: You will rotate between two shifts:
* Early: 07:00 – 15:30
* Late: 09:30 – 18:00 (includes a 30‑minute unpaid lunch break)
Key Responsibilities
* Site Maintenance: Execute day‑to‑day electrical maintenance and repairs within a professional office environment to ensure business continuity.
* Safety and Compliance: Perform routine inspections and testing in accordance with current electrical regulations and safety protocols.
* System Oversight: Support the maintenance of onsite electrical infrastructure, including lighting, power distribution, and emergency systems.
Requirements
* Vetting and Security: The successful candidate must hold a valid Basic DBS certificate issued within the last 3 months.
* Site Access: You must be able to pass a specific vetting process to allow for unescorted access on site.
* Technical Expertise: Proven experience in commercial electrical maintenance, with a focus on high‑quality service delivery and safety.
* Candidacy: Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
