About the Role
Anderson Knight is delighted to be recruiting a Bid Writer on behalf of our client within the civil engineering sector. This role focuses on producing high-quality, compliant bid submissions for a range of tenders.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and submit tailored, high-quality bids in line with client specifications and deadlines
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to gather required information
* Develop clear, persuasive content highlighting the company’s experience and strengths
* Manage the end-to-end bid process, including reviews and post-submission follow-up
* Support quality assurance processes, internal audits, and compliance with industry and health & safety standards
* Maintain accurate bid and quality documentation
* Assist with prequalification documents, reports, presentations, and general administrative support
Key Requirements
* Proven experience in bid writing or tender submissions, ideally within construction or civil engineering
* Strong understanding of the bid process and quality management systems
* Excellent written communication, organisation, and time-management skills
* Ability to meet tight deadlines with high attention to detail
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and bid management systems
* Knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar standards is desirable
Desirable
* Relevant qualification in construction, civil engineering, or a related field
* Experience with tender portals and electronic submissions
* Background in plant hire, project management, or quality assurance
