Brief Description The role We have an exciting opportunity within the Network Rail High Speed Asset Management Team for a S&T Asset Engineer. We are looking for a permanent position, so come use your skills and knowledge and be part of a truly unique business that brings the UK closer to Europe. This role will cover the whole life cycle of Asset Management including renewals, obsolescence management, enhancements and maintenance support for the High Speed 1 route. With your engineering expertise you will be working with the Senior Asset Engineer [S&T], the Professional Head of Signalling, the Signal Maintenance Engineer and the Signalling Section Managers to deliver the required asset performance and reliability for the route. Alongside this you will be carrying out audits, acting as DPE/PE for S&T renewal projects and assisting with engineering queries. You will also be carrying out project Engineering role to ensure that projects within the Signalling, Telecoms and Control systems discipline are delivered safely, within scope and quality requirements and are in compliance with existing technical standards and company engineering policies. You will provide input into the development and implementation of asset management policies, standards and specifications to manage assets to the required level of safety and performance. Using the strong relationships you build, you will collaborate with the Signalling, Telecoms and Control systems maintenance delivery team and examinations team to undertake engineering verification and ensure compliance to standards. Do you have: Have an Incorporated Engineer qualification (or working towards membership of a relevant professional institution)? Have an appropriate IRSE license / competence? Have a HND or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject? Have experience of asset management activities? Have an understanding of safety management systems and risk assessment techniques? Have a knowledge of engineering policies and standards? Also, have you carried out project Engineering activities?
