Job Overview As part of the growth of the School, we are looking for a dynamic Head of Geography to direct the development of the Geography Department within the Humanities faculty. The successful applicant will be required to work collaboratively with the Humanities team and will work very closely with the Assistant Head responsible for Humanities for the mutual benefit of the School. Skills We are particularly keen to appoint an individual with a well-established track record of excellent GSCE and A Level results over a sustained period. The Geography Department regularly achieves 25% of A Level grades at A/A* and 15% of GCSE grades at 8/9. The ideal candidate will have the skills and enthusiasm to maintain and improve on these averages. Geography is a popular subject, with high uptake at both GCSE and A Level, with over 250 students studying it across Key Stage 4 and 5. The ideal candidate will be integral in seeing this uptake continue to improve.
