This 1‑year fixed‑term full‑time (40 hours per week) post is based in St John's Hospital, Edinburgh. It is an integral part of the general adult psychiatry service and offers a unique 50:50 mix of clinical work (10 sessions) and medical education, including undergraduate teaching and educational quality improvement initiatives. The role is ideal for candidates looking to spend a year between core training and speciality training to develop clinical and teaching skills.
Responsibilities
* Deliver 10 clinical sessions in West Lothian.
* Provide undergraduate teaching in collaboration with the University of Edinburgh.
* Engage in educational quality improvement programmes.
* Work closely with consultants, specialist doctors, higher trainees and resident doctors.
