Senior Cost Manager – Permanent | Bristol or Cardiff | £55,000 – £65,000
Ceto Talent is recruiting a Senior Cost Manager for a permanent opportunity with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy delivering complex infrastructure and energy programmes. This role sits within an established cost management and project controls practice and offers clear progression, professional development, and high‑quality project exposure.
This position would suit an experienced Senior Cost Manager or a strong Cost Manager ready to step into a senior‑level consultancy role.
About You
You will bring consultancy‑based cost management experience, with a strong technical background in cost planning, cost control, and commercial management on complex projects. Experience within infrastructure, energy, or regulated environments is highly beneficial.
You will have good working knowledge of industry benchmarks, cost and work breakdown structures, and standard forms of contract such as NEC or FIDIC. You will be confident monitoring and controlling cost performance, challenging technical teams constructively, and identifying cost‑effective solutions.
You will ideally have experience supporting or mentoring junior cost management staff. You will be degree‑qualified in a relevant discipline, with MRICS or working towards chartership preferred. You must be eligible to work in the UK on a permanent basis.

You will deliver cost management services across a range of complex projects, working closely with clients, internal teams, and delivery partners to ensure commercial and cost objectives are met. The role includes supporting service quality, contributing to team capability, and engaging with clients to support effective decision‑making.
