About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Specialized Technician to join our ambitious team. This full-time role is ideal for a hands-on individual who thrives in the high-energy world of racing and autonomous vehicle technology. Your expertise will impact our performance on the track and the development of autonomous motorsports.
The position is based in Sint-Truiden, Belgium, with frequent international travel to support testing and racing events. Flexibility is required, including occasional evenings and weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
* Vehicle Management: Lead setup, maintenance, and track-side operations of autonomous race cars and high-performance electric vehicles.
* Mechanical Tasks: Perform mechanical maintenance, disassembly, inspection, optimization, and reassembly to ensure safety and performance.
* Track Operations: Manage vehicle operations during live sessions, including pit stops and setup adjustments.
* Logistics: Oversee vehicle transport logistics across Europe and internationally, collaborating with the Technical Director.
* Workshop Management: Maintain an organized, efficient workshop environment for vehicle prep and maintenance.
* Safety: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, flag protocols, and emergency procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Mechanical Knowledge: Expertise in high-performance vehicle systems, suspension tuning, tire management, and optimization.
* Electronics Skills: Basic understanding of advanced electronic systems like steer-by-wire and brake-by-wire, with experience in MoTeC systems.
* Motorsport Experience: At least 3 years in a professional racing environment, demonstrating capability and understanding of motorsport dynamics.
* Technical Education: Diploma or certification in automotive, mechanical engineering, or related fields.
* Learning Attitude: Interest in autonomous driving tech and willingness to innovate in sportscar and racing contexts.
* Teamwork: Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.
* Driver's License: Valid license required.
