Are you wanting to work with and support the next generation in a school setting?
Affinity Workforce Solutions are partnering with five secondary schools in Weston-Super-Mare and are looking for Sports Coaches to start as soon as possible. Roles are available for the correct candidates who are charismatic, enthusiastic and will be a positive influence on the young people they work with. Working hours are 8:15–3:15, with full-time roles and flexibility for part-time hours.
This is an ideal role for someone looking to gain a teaching qualification or who has previous sports coaching experience inside or outside the classroom.
Responsibilities
* Deliver pre-prepared sports lessons and activities to students aged 11 to 16 across all areas of sport.
* Promote a positive and inclusive sports culture, encouraging all students to participate.
* Collaborate with colleagues in the PE department to deliver lessons.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of students during sports activities.
* Support the teacher in PE classes where required.
Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Sports Science, Physical Education or a related field.
* Experience coaching and working with secondary school students.
* Strong knowledge of a variety of sports and the PE curriculum.
* Team player with initiative and a good sense of humour.
* Excellent literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
* Knowledge of sports-related safety protocols.
* Positive attitude and flexible to the demands of the job.
