We explain investigations and treatment options, assess suitability for compression therapy and intensive treatment, and provide lifestyle guidance on skin care, exercise, movement, weight management, and preventing cellulitis.

Role and development

This B5 development role is designed to help registered nurses gain specialist skills and knowledge in assessing, treating, and managing people with complex Lymphoedema. You’ll work under the supervision of the Specialist Lymphoedema Nurse, who will oversee the caseload.

In this role, you’ll develop skills in creating and implementing personalised care plans to support patients in managing their condition. A professional development plan will be created with the Specialist Lymphoedema Nurse, setting clear goals and timeframes to achieve all clinical objectives within 12 to 18 months of starting.
