The role:
As a general practice manager, you’ll take ownership of a varied portfolio of SME clients, delivering year-end accounts, tax compliance, and advisory services. You'll play a hands‑on role in client communication, team management, and driving service excellence across the board.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing a portfolio of clients and delivering high‑quality accounting and advisory services
* Preparing and reviewing year‑end accounts under FRS102, FRS102A, and FRS105
* Completing corporation tax computations and CT600s
* Overseeing VAT return reviews
* Leading, mentoring, and supporting a team of accountants and admin staff
* Contributing to business development and identifying growth opportunitiesEnsuring compliance with statutory regulations and internal processes
* Acting as the main point of contact for key client relationships
About you:
* ACA/ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience)
* Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP
* Comfortable managing full accounts production through to final sign‑off
* Confident communicator – with both clients and team members
* Organised, proactive, and deadline‑driven
* A natural leader and team player, eager to mentor junior staff
* Commercially aware and keen to grow with the firm
