Job Description
3. Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action
4. Analyse costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company's actual performance compared to the business plans
5. Develop trends and projections for the firm's finances
6. Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
7. Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met
8. Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained
9. Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken
The Successful Applicant
A successful 'Finance Analyst' should have:
10. A degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
11. Proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications
12. Hands on experience with statistical analysis and statistical packages
13. Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills
14. Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance and information analysis
15. Well informed in current financial subjects, accounting, tax laws, money market and business environments
