Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Patent Attorney located in Gatwick, although there is some flexibility for off-site working. The Patent Attorney will handle the preparation and prosecution of patent applications, provide guidance on patent law and patentability, and conduct due diligence assessments. The role involves advising clients on intellectual property rights, conducting legal research, and supporting clients throughout the patent lifecycle. The technical field of work is extremely varied and would suit an attorney capable of dealing with general engineering subject matter and/or in the field of biotechnology.
Qualifications
* Preferably CPA and EPA qualified
* Strong expertise in preparing and prosecuting patent applications
* In-depth knowledge of patent law and patentability
* Experience conducting due diligence and related intellectual property assessments
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to analyze complex technical and legal information
* Experience in a professional legal or IP-focused environment is advantageous
* Ability to work together with a small team
