At our ARU Writtle campus, we specialise in animal, environmental, agricultural and horticultural courses, for learners aged 16 to 18, adult learners, undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
About The Role
We’re looking for a dedicated Lecturer in Veterinary Nursing to join our team at ARU Writtle. In this rewarding role, you’ll deliver engaging theoretical and practical teaching to Further Education (FE) students. You’ll also support learners in their academic and personal development, contribute to curriculum planning, and play an active part in student recruitment and promotion of our veterinary nursing programmes.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Teaching veterinary nursing subjects across full-time and apprenticeship courses.
* Mentoring students and guiding their academic and professional growth.
* Contributing to curriculum development and course planning.
* Supporting student recruitment and promoting the course offer.
* Participating in evening, weekend, and holiday sessions as needed.
* Keeping up-to-date with professional practice through CPD.
What We’re Looking For
* A qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) who holds a Level 3 Diploma or BSc in Veterinary Nursing.
* Practical experience in small animal veterinary practice.
* Excellent communication, organisation, and IT skills.
* A commitment to student success and professional development.
To be successful in this role you will have a level 2 GCSE English and Maths or equivalent, two A levels or Vocational qualification at NVQ level 3 or equivalent. You will also have an appropriate endorsed teaching qualification (or willingness to commence studies within 1 year of employment).
