Due to a growth in service, we have a very rare and exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Registered Nurse with an interest in interventional Cardiology to join the only Private and Self Pay Cardiology Centre in Kent.
As a Cath Lab Nurse, you will work in the Cardiac Cath Labs and the 16 bedded Cardiac Day Case ward. You will carry out the Pre-Assessment of Cath Lab patients, process the admission and recovery of patients, and scrub and run for procedures plus work alongside Cardiology for some diagnostic tests.
This role is ideally suited to a Registered Nurse with post registration experience and knowledge in Coronary Care, this could be a CCU background, Cardiac Cath Lab or an Acute Medical Ward?
Your working hours will be Hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm, 9am - 5pm, 10am - 6pm or 11am – 7pm on a rota basis.
Main duties of the job
Role Responsibilities include:
1. Providing care and support to patients throughout their pathway with KIMS Hospital including pre-operative assessment right through to discharge
2. Scrub for a case load of patients undergoing cardiac procedures including catheterisation, pacing and ICD fitting
3. Ensure the patient experience and well-being remain at the heart of the business at all times and best practices are implemented and maintained within the Cardiac Cath Lab
4. Day to day duties of a cardiac nurse including taking bloods, cannulation, performing angiograms, pacing’s as well as assessing and monitoring patients

17. Be fully trained in resuscitation and have the ability to handle emergencies appropriately
18. Have experience in cannulation, venepuncture and carrying out ECG`s

19. Have a post registration training in Cardiology
20. Have demonstrable knowledge of current nursing and clinical developments.
