Overview
We are seeking Project Delivery Manager to join our Active Fire team. You'll be part of a busy team, working closely with our Engineers & Operatives, office-based support teams, contractors and our clients, to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of our contracts.
Hours
This role is Mon – Fri, 37.5 hours per week, 8:30am, 4:30pm. Flexibility is required in line with site/client needs (e.g. 8am - 4pm).

Role Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end delivery of Active Fire Protection projects from contract award through to completion
* Take full responsibility for contract administration, including NEC / JCT contract obligations
* Develop, manage, and maintain project programmes to achieve key milestones
* Control project budgets, cost reporting, forecasting, and margin performance
* Prepare, submit, and negotiate valuations, variations, compensation events, and final accounts
* Coordinate labour, materials, suppliers, and specialist subcontractors across multiple live projects
* Ensure all works comply with UK legislation, Building Regulations, BS standards, and client specifications
* Manage inspections, testing, commissioning, and certification of active fire systems
* Act as the primary point of contact with main contractors, consultants, fire engineers, building control, and clients
* Identify, manage, and mitigate commercial, contractual, and delivery risks
* Oversee works in occupied and operational buildings, ensuring safety and minimal disruption
* Provide leadership and direction to site managers, supervisors, and engineers
* Enforce H&S, quality assurance, and company management systems across all projects
* Lead and attend progress meetings, providing accurate reporting on programme, cost, and risk
* Manage project close-out, including defects, O&M manuals, handover documentation, and client sign-off
Experience
* Proven experience delivering Active Fire Protection works for a fire safety subcontractor or similar
* Experience working on social housing, local authority, or housing association projects
* Demonstrated ability to manage works in occupied residential environments
* Strong knowledge of sprinkler, fire alarm, AOV, riser, and associated active fire systems
* Experience operating under NEC and/or JCT contracts in a subcontractor role
* Proven track record managing multiple projects simultaneously
* Experience managing valuations, variations, and final accounts
* Strong understanding of UK fire safety legislation, Building Regulations, and BS standards
* Experience maintaining high standards of health & safety, quality, and client liaison
Qualifications
* Time-served electrician or fire alarm engineer, with hands-on experience installing and maintaining active fire systems
* Relevant electrical qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
* Experience working as an operative on live sites prior to moving into supervision or management
* SMSTS or SSSTS certification
* CSCS card (Supervisor or Manager level as appropriate)
* Strong working knowledge of BS 5839, BS 7671, and associated fire safety standards
* IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH Construction (desirable)
