The role involves assessing plans and undertaking site inspections across a range of developments, making informed technical decisions to ensure buildings meet required standards for health, safety, sustainability and accessibility. The postholder is also responsible for identifying and addressing non-compliance, including initiating enforcement action and responding to dangerous structures to protect public safety.
