You will be working in the Infrastructure OU in where we are responsible for bringing design, build and refurbishment excellence to complex civil engineering projects nationwide – combining technical expertise with a passion for creating lasting value for people and places.
We are seeking a Procurement Manager to lead the development of our procurement strategy and oversee the sourcing and management of category agreements, subcontract packages, and supply contracts. This role will operate at both project and category levels, ensuring effective delivery, value optimisation, and robust supplier relationships.
As the Procurement Manager, you will:
* Development of package / category procurement strategies to clearly demonstrate and seek approval from stakeholders on how a product / service will be procured.
* Undertake tendering activity applying a balanced approach to select suppliers based upon criteria which is relevant to the customers and Skanska’s objectives.
* Procurement and management of a portfolio of sub-contract packages / categories to optimise value to the business through strategic supplier selection and supplier relationship management.
* Drafting of recommendations / business cases, for approval and senior management endorsement of supply chain selection.
* Keep records up to date including agreement details, category plan / procurement schedule, savings reporting and agreement intranet pages where applicable.
We are looking for:
* Self-starter and able to work on own initiative to deliver to agreed timescales.
* Computer literate in Microsoft office suite and purchasing systems
* Excellent analytical skills to drive the right decisions and outcomes.
* Confident and professional approach to stakeholder engagement, holding them to account when necessary to uphold legislative compliance and adherence to procurement policy.
* Supply chain marketplace knowledge and network.
* Potential Line management to ensure direct report(s) develop, achieve their goals and deliver successful outcomes.
