Our client, a leading Destination Management Company (DMC), is seeking a Project Manager to be the crucial first point of contact for high-volume inquiries from event agencies. You'll be responsible for handling a high volume of incoming inquiries, primarily from event agencies, and crafting compelling proposals that get the green light. Your success will be measured by your ability to convert these leads into confirmed business, after which you'll seamlessly hand over the project to a dedicated delivery team. What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone with a strong commercial focus and a passion for winning new business.
You should have:
* Experience in the travel or events industries, particularly within a client-facing or sales-oriented role, is a huge plus.
* A strong understanding of London and its venues is a distinct advantage.
* Excellent computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
What You’ll Do
As a Project Manager, your primary focus will be on converting incoming inquiries. Your key responsibilities include:
* Handling client requests and preparing persuasive proposals that respond directly to the client's brief and budget.
* Managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts and Service Level Agreements to secure the best rates and services.
* Conducting research on hotels, venues, and restaurants to find the perfect fit, ensuring your proposals stand out.
* Maximizing conversion rates and margins on every enquiry.
* Once converted, ensuring a smooth transition of the project to the internal delivery team.
