Compliance Officer School Kitchen (Dorset) Start ASAP
Right, this isnt a clipboard-and-coffee role. This is the engine room of a busy school kitchen where hundreds of meals go out daily and absolutely nothing gets past you. Were looking for a sharp, practical, sleeves-rolled-up Compliance Officer who lives and breathes food safety, understands school catering pressures, and can build bulletproof systems that actually get followed.
What youll be doing
Create, update and enforce all SOPs HACCP, allergen management, food storage, cleaning schedules, delivery checks, you name it
Daily compliance walk-throughs spotting risks before they become problems
Keep records immaculate: temperature logs, training files, incident reports, audits
Ensure the kitchen is inspection-ready every single day (not just the week Ofsted shows up)
Train and coach kitchen teams on health & safety expectations without boring them to death
Monitor stock rotation, waste management, COSHH, PPE and equipment safety
Liaise with school leadership, catering partners and environmental health officers
Drive a culture of accountability, professionalism and pride
What we need from you
Strong experience within hospitality, catering, schools or food manufacturing compliance
Up-to-date knowledge of UK food hygiene legislation and safeguarding expectations
Level 3 Food Safety (minimum), HACCP qualification a big win
Organised, confident, diplomatic but not afraid to say Nope, thats not safe
Someone who doesnt just tick boxes they improve the system
