As we scale our client base, we're looking for an experienced, personable and proactive Business Development Manager to help us reach more high-potential businesses and build meaningful partnerships.
The Role
This is a flexible, remote business development role ideal for someone with a strong sales network or background in digital services. You’ll be responsible for identifying, nurturing and converting leads into clients — with full support from the agency to deliver proposals, presentations, and service delivery.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Identifying and reaching out to qualified leads (e.g. DTC eCommerce businesses, online service providers, SMEs)
* Presenting JOAN Digital’s core service offerings with confidence
* Building a predictable sales pipeline and managing follow-ups
* Closing new business and handing over to delivery teams
* Contributing to offer development and outreach strategies
This Role Is Ideal For:
* A semi-retired professional, experienced sales exec, or ex-agency partner looking for a purpose-led side role
* A freelancer or consultant with B2B connections or digital marketing know-how
* Someone who enjoys autonomy, freedom, and results-based rewards
Requirements:
* 5+ years of experience in B2B sales or business development (digital or creative industry preferred)
* Excellent communication, persuasion and relationship-building skills
* Comfortable working independently and managing own pipeline
* Bonus: Experience selling digital services (SEO, PPC, websites, etc.)
* Based in the UK

* Small monthly base retainer (negotiable)
* Uncapped commission on all new clients closed (e.g. 10–20% on initial contract value)
